Question for you: do your feet ever get swollen? Just like out of the blue, your feet get swollen. Or one day you're just walking around, and then when you get home you're like, oh my gosh, what's happening to my feet? My feet are swollen.
And I don't mean those kinds of swellings caused by some medical condition like edema. Of course edema happens, and even in this case that temporary swelling I'm talking about is a type of edema. But it's not linked to some deep medical condition. I'm just talking about that kind of swelling that occurs when you don't even know what happens, but it has no real medical connection. Like sometimes you're just wearing shoes, and then you're like, oh my gosh, what's happening? Your feet have doubled or tripled in size.
Those are the kinds of things I'm talking about. Do your feet sometimes swell in this way? That is the question.
There's a time I used to work in the 3D world, and it was so hectic out there. Every time I would take the train and go to work, by the time I got home, I tell you, my legs and my feet were like, I don't even know what happens. And then I'd press on it, and it would have this dent. And I used to wonder, what is causing all this? Because I'm not sick or anything, and there's nothing really wrong with me other than the fact that I got up this morning, my legs were skinny, and now I'm back home and my legs are like triple the size. So it was really a concern for me over a long period of time, about six months.
During that time I really used to wonder, what is the cause of this? And I was taking all kinds of therapeutic approaches to try to ensure that this situation was under control. I know the energetics of it. I know the mental aspects of it. I know the emotional aspects of this thing, but my legs were still swelling. So it meant there were some drastic actions that I had to take, but anyway.
So there's this edema thing, where there's fluid trapped in the cells of your body, in the tissues of your body. And energetically, anything that happens to the skin, either to make it swell or to burn or whatever, is an inflammation. And where there is fluid involved, like in this case the fluid that goes under the skin to cause the swelling, where there is fluid involved is an emotional thing.
So you have to look at it from that perspective if you want to break it down. And the part of the body where the inflammation occurs, or where the swelling occurs, is also something to consider. So in this case, my feet. So what was happening was this inflammation caused by emotional things that were going on were affecting my feet, which represent forward movement. So I was looking at my life to kind of see: what kind of emotions am I having with regard to the direction in which I'm going, or that are affecting my movement forward, or that are causing me to be stuck, or to feel that I cannot move forward or cannot go on, or I cannot stand or walk? What kind of feelings are involved?
And I thought about this thing, and I was like, oh my gosh, my job. At that time things were thick at my job. It was so hectic. It was all these fears and stress around performance-related issues, and people were getting laid off, and nobody knew whose day it was. And there were all these things going on. At that time it was crazy.
So anyway, one day as I was thinking about this thing, it suddenly just hit me how emotionally trapped I was in that job. I was feeling so trapped because I had a deadline to meet, and I was committed to a number of students. I couldn't leave this job.
But let me tell you, the day I realized how my edema, or the swelling on my feet, was connected to how emotionally trapped I was, because of the fluid in that situation that was causing me not to be able to make forward movement, I was just so glad. So when this job came to an end, I'm telling you, within two days my feet were back to normal, and I've never really experienced that situation again.
And it's so funny because I meet so many women especially who have this swollen feet, for whatever reason. And I sometimes ask them to think about what kind of emotional traps they're experiencing in their own lives that are preventing forward movement. And one or two people have really come back after doing their inner work and resolved these situations with the swelling in their feet. Some of them are just fascinated by the whole idea, because sometimes the simple work that we need to do is usually the hardest thing for people. Why is it like that? Like someone tells you something and it's the simplest thing ever, but then it becomes the most complicated or most difficult thing to do. Why? I don't know. Maybe someone can tell me.
But if you're experiencing swollen feet, maybe look at the situation from a different perspective. If there's a lot of masculine energy in the space that you're in, or if you're experiencing a lot of stress, that could be the root cause of your edema or the swollen feet, that's on an energetic level and on the simplest level. This has nothing to do with medical conditions. Okay? So don't get it twisted.
So energetically, if there's masculine energy in your environment, where there's a lot of anger, stress, anxiety, performance-related requirements, so much go, go, go, do, do type of energy, then these kinds of things can cause your emotions to flare up, and you'll feel trapped because you feel like you have to perform and do all these things that maybe you need to leave, or maybe you need to move forward but you can't. So the fluid comes, and then it settles in your legs and your feet, and then your legs are inflamed, and as a result the swellings occur. And there it is. But all these things can be resolved.
So let me know: do your feet swell? Now you know what to do. Get rid of that masculine energy that's exacerbating the situation, that stressful energy, that go, go, go, perform, perform, perform, and you'll be surprised at how much your feet are going to respond better. Okay? I love you guys, and let's keep moving forward stress-free. Okay? Bye.
