Do you have a heavy-duty black obsidian for absorbing negative energy? Or do you wear black obsidian pendants or any type of jewelry like these ones here for protection against negative energy? If you do, that's great. I used to do that as well, but I decided to scale back on wearing black obsidian and only wear black obsidian when necessary. I'm going to tell you why in a minute. So if you love wearing black obsidian, or if you love black obsidian, pay attention, because what I'm going to share might be useful for you, and I'm also very curious about hearing your comments about what I'm about to say.
Crystal lovers, I've noticed something really interesting, and that is that excessive use or long-term wearing of black obsidian can cause premature aging. Wearing black obsidian can cause you to start appearing older than you really are. It can really take away from your youthful look, and it kind of just starts this process where you begin to notice that you're looking physically older than you really should, or really want, okay?
So this is just my personal observation, and to be clear, I want to say this: I am not against getting old. I'm not against aging, and there's really nothing wrong with aging or getting older. This is just a process that we all have to transition through, and it's good, okay? What I'm talking about is the premature aging that I'm noticing can occur in some situations, not all situations. At least I'm noticing it for myself: that premature aging that can come as a result of wearing a lot of black obsidian for an extended period of time, okay? So I just want to make sure that you don't get me wrong, or don't get this conversation twisted, or feel that this is an attack on age, okay? So with that out of the way, I'm curious: have you ever noticed signs of premature aging when working with crystals, or when wearing crystals? And if so, which specific crystals were those? I'm curious to know. Let me know in the comment section, okay?
There was a time when I really used to wear a lot of these black crystals. I used to wear a lot of black obsidians and snowflake obsidian all at the same time. And during that time, I started noticing that I was really developing a lot of wrinkles, okay? Not that there's anything wrong with that, or that I don't have them, but the wrinkles were becoming a lot more pronounced, and my skin was drying out and getting a lot more flaky, and just not looking at its peak or optimal, okay?
So I began to wonder, what is going on with my skin? And then one day, this intuitive insight just came to me, this inner wisdom, this awareness came to me. And I thought to myself, you know what, Caroline, you really need to ease off of this black obsidian. And then I decided, okay, let me just put these crystals aside for a while. As the months have gone by without me wearing multiple black obsidians, I've begun to notice that my skin looks better. Even my wrinkles are not that deep, okay? So something is really, really happening. Crystals are teachers. Not that I don't know that, but when we pay attention, we can learn so much from crystals. We can learn so much about how crystals affect us just from the way crystals are formed. I love, love, love these crystal babies and all the things that they're teaching us about things, okay?
And that's why I'm so excited to talk about black obsidian and how it can affect us, especially for those who are into anti-aging and looking youthful and really taking care of their skin. Not that other people don't take care of their skin, but if you're working with crystals, maybe this is something that you might want to pay attention to, okay?
Many of us use black obsidian because it's a heavy-duty stone with a high capacity to absorb negative or toxic energy. Besides that, it's also a very fast-acting stone, and it really absorbs that negative stuff with a quickness. It doesn't waste time. And that's what makes it great, because it absorbs those toxic energies into the dark voids within until maybe you clear the stone or discharge the stone. And that's why we feel so much better and lighter when you're working with black obsidian. It absorbs the energy and gives us that space to process and work through the things that are causing the negativity to come into our lives.
You know how crystals support us? They support us because they do some things or reveal some things. And if you're really on top of it, we have to work on those particular things in our own life in order to eliminate that unwanted stuff, or raise our vibration and bring ourselves into alignment and balance and harmony and wholeness or completeness or whatever, right?
It's important to note that black obsidian is not technically a crystal. It is a natural glass. Black obsidian has no crystalline structure because of the way it's formed. It's formed from volcanic lava, and when that lava erupts, it cools down rapidly when it makes contact with the outer surface. Because of that, black obsidian has no time to crystallize. So it just becomes natural glass. But it still has very powerful, potent energies from within the earth. That ability to just cool situations down really quick, based on how it's formed, and also to absorb the energies of whatever it is that's going on in that particular moment, and to preserve those energies.
And this is where I think the aging process begins. I want you to think about it. When that lava comes from wherever it's coming from, the volcano, and then it hits that spot, it preserves the energy of that state. So there's nothing coming in, okay? There's no new fresh infusion of energy. I mean, you can look at this situation from so many aspects. But when I'm looking at it from this perspective of how something just comes and blocks energy in this particular space, everything within the spot where the black obsidian lands becomes preserved. Everything stops right there. Everything gets stuck. There's no movement. This is it. Everything gets stuck right here. All the energy and all the life force that's already contained within that spot where this black obsidian landed is what's going to be sustaining the energy until God knows when.
So that's how the aging process begins. This is how the preservation begins, because things are stuck, the life force is not moving, the blood is not moving, the energy is not moving, and then that decaying process begins, and then you begin to notice certain things. And this is just my perspective. So I hope you're following me, okay?
Black obsidian is wonderful, and it's great for fast-acting results. Especially, it's a great crystal to use when you want things to be quickly done, to be completed as fast as possible. It's a really great tool to use for that kind of energy, because you know how it delivers results quickly and brings closure or completion to situations, because it doesn't play. However, this same quality may not be really good when its fast-acting qualities lead to premature aging or fast aging or quick aging, or really speeds up this process of aging, because as soon as its energy just lands on a spot, external things that are going in stop. Think about it from that perspective. That's all I'm saying. I'm just saying, let's introduce other ways of really evaluating things so we can see things from a different perspective, okay?
But I'm still really curious about what you guys think about this. I'm just curious. This is just my perspective. So if you're into looking young and looking youthful, or you're into anti-aging, black obsidian may be a no-no, especially for long-term use on the physical body. That means wearing them as crystal jewelry, or just having them within your physical body for extended periods of time. It's okay to use them in the space around you. But if you decide to use them on your physical body, and you're noticing that you're aging, maybe you can test it out and see. If you notice that things are not looking the way you like, maybe you can scale back a little bit on the black obsidian and notice how things go from there.
And oh, before I forget, another thing is that while aging can be visibly seen on the physical, aging also can occur on invisible levels. Emotionally you can age, mentally you can age, spiritually you can age. And this type of aging occurs where you're not able to accept new ideas, to perceive new ideas, to get new insights, where you're just stuck in some type of belief systems that don't change. Where you get agitated by just incoming information, and you're just stuck on another level there, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically, or whatever. So aging occurs on so many levels. So that's another thing that you can observe for yourself when you're working with volcanic stones that really cool down stuff quickly and lock energy in, okay? These are just some cool ideas that you can use when working with your crystals to help you grow and transform and evolve, right?
Okay. If you love black obsidian and you have been wearing it for a long period of time, have you noticed any signs of premature aging, or have you noticed that things are speeding up in that aging department?
